Lotto Results.

There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday night 21st April. The numbers were 4 – 5 – 26 – 29 four punters matched three numbers Kitty Gilvarry The Boreen Crossmolina, Eamon Grehan St Marys Park Crossmolina, Michael and Marie Gallagher Mullenmore Crossmolina, Pat and Des Lavin Kiltmagh they share the €150 prize. The Draw took place in Hiney’s Bar. This weeks Jackpot is €8,700. Many thanks for your Continued support

Spring Clean Up.

April is National Spring Clean month. There is a lot of unsightly litter on all the approach roads to Crossmolina. Could a few residents on each road get together and organise a litter pick - from the speed limits signs outwards, for as far as possible. We have some litter pickers and Hi-Vis vests available. Moving your Mind” 

Mayo GAA & Mayo Mental Health Association - Health & Wellbeing Event

Crossmolina Deel-Rovers are delighted to host this event, which is developed to show how exercise and good nutrition can promote positive mental health and wellbeing within rural communities. Speakers include – Andy Moran (Exercise and its importance to the individual), Caroline Brosnihan (Importance of Nutrition for a Healthy body and a Healthy mind) and Neil Douglas (Impact Yoga and Stretching can have on all generations) This is a community event and everyone is welcome! Venue: Crossmolina Deel-Rovers Clubrooms tomorrow evening Tuesday 1st May 

 

Festival News.

Congratulations to Roisin Barrett from Lahardane who won the first heat of the Singing Pubs and will represent The Thatch in the final on July 22nd. The next heat takes place on Saturday night next, May 5th, in Cawley's, Rakestreet. If you are interested in taking part as a solo or duet please call 087 2225256 or contact Cawley's. The plans for this year's festival are nearly finalised and many events will be geared towards visitors, family and friends coming home to Crossmolina as part of Homecoming Festival 2018. This year's headline act will be announced on May 7th and the launch of the new Crossmolina Summer brochure in conjunction with the Festival will take place in June. Date For Your Diary.

Killocraun 120 Years A day of celebration, nostalgia and fun is planned for Sat 30th June in Killocraun NS to mark 120 years of our school. There will be opportunities on the day to meet with past teachers and pupils as well as to browse old roll books, text books and photos. We look forward to meeting our past pupils, neighbours and friends for a trip down memory lane. 

As part of this celebration a new publication is planned. We would love to hear from those who would like to share a memory, photo(s), and / or write an article or poem for inclusion in this publication. National School Pub Quiz.

The Crossmolina National School Parents Association Pub Quiz with a Twist is back on May 4th. Registration takes place in the Thatch Bar at 8.30 followed by Quiz trail to the various pubs with the Final Round in Maughans Bar. Great prizes to be won. Music afterwards so come along and kick start your Bank Holiday Weekend

'Tickets for Mayo Vs Galway Connacht Championship on Sunday May 13th, can be purchased from all SuperValu and Centra Stores, and also online at tickets.ie, a very limited number of tickets may be available from the Crossmolina GAA Club, but people are advised to obtain tickets via other routes'
