Breege and Dermot Scoops Lotto Jackpot

Congratulation to Breege and Dermot O’Malley Keenagh who scooped the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers Club Jackpot of €4,050 in Saturday 12th January .Their lucky numbers were 11 – 14 – 18 – 27. The draw took place in Hineys. This weeks Jackpot is €3,000. Many thanks for all your support


Kilmurry Community Alert. 

Kilmurry Community Alert will hold a meeting on Wednesday Jan. 30th in the Kilmurry Centre at 8:30pm.  A representative from each house in the area is invited to attend to discuss the implementation of new initiatives regarding community alert.

Frank Fox RIP

The death occurred peacefully on Wednesday 16th January at his residence of Frank Fox Church St Crossmolina. His remains reposed at Hiney’s Funeral Home on Thursday evening with removal to St Tiernans Church. Requiem Mass on Friday with burial afterwards in Crossmolina Cemetery. Frank is survived by his wife Agatha, sons Anthony, Francis, Allan, Ian, David, Karl and Brian, daughter Mary, daughters – in – law, Marie, Fiona, Edel, Patricia, Josie and Ann, son – in – law, John, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relations, friends and neighbours. May he rest in peace


Kilmurray Centre News.

Kilmurray Parents and Toddler group meet every Tuesday morning in the Community Centre from 11am to 1pm. It is a lovely social occasion and meeting place for the mothers and children 


Michael Garrett RIP

The death occurred peacefully on Thursday 17th January at University Hospital Galway of Michael Garrett Church Rd Crossmolina. His remains reposed at Hiney’s Funeral Home on Friday evening. Requiem mass on Saturday with burial afterwards in Crossmolina cemetery. Michael is survived by his wife Mary, daughters Nicola and Deirdre, son Michael, grandchildren Ethan, Ryan and Jamie, sons – in – law, daughter – in – law, Sister Mary, brothers – in – law, sisters – in – law, nephews, cousins, relations, friends and neighbours. May he rest in peace.

Introduction to Mindfullness & Emotional Freedom

Dementia Dance Club

Community Action on Dementia is a FREE dance club for people living with dementia and their families/carers being run in the Ballina Family Resource Centre every Thursday from 2.30pm to 4.00 pm.  Light refreshments served.  Ring Francis on 0868366312 for more info.


Mindspace Outreach Service in Ballina FRC

Mindspace Mayo offers a support service to young people (15-25yrs) presenting with anything from common concerns (e.g. dealing with break-up, exam stress, bullying) to young people with emerging mental health difficulties such as mild depression and anxiety.  The outreach service will run 2 days a week (Monday & Tues) and is based in the Ballina Family Resource Centre. Died in Galway 

The death occurred peacefully on Friday 11th January at University Hospital Galway of Bridie Walls nee McGuinness Ard Na Mara Salthill Galway formerly of Lecarrow Crossmolina and Connacht House Athlone and late of St Mary’s Residential Care Galway. Bridies remains reposed at the O'Flaherty Funeral Parlour Munster Avenue, Galway on Monday with Removal to Christ the King Church Salthill.  Requiem Mass on Tuesday burial afterwards in the New Cemetery, Bohermore. Bridie, (Third Order of St. Francis). was Predeceased by her husband Felim, sisters Mary, Ann and her brother Gerry. Sadly missed by her daughter Mary, sons Emmet and Dermot, son-in-law Mick, daughters-in-law Mary and Kay, sisters Una and Kathleen, brother Sean Lecarrow, sister-in-law TC, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, neighbours and friends. May she rest in peace
