There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday night 7th January. The numbers were 6 – 8 – 20 – 29 three punters matched three numbers Aidan O’Donnell Milltown Dublin, Darren Flanagan Bengeary Crossmolina, The Hughes Family Carrowkilleen Upper Crossmolina each win €50. Ireland's First St.Patrick's Lights Parade


The Lights Parade in Crossmolina on March 17th at 7:30pm will be the first of its kind in Ireland and there will be an information evening on Thurs. Feb. 2nd at 8pm in Sticks Bar (Upstairs) where the committee will be on hand to answer all your queries and have details on lights and props available. We would like everyone to come along especially those from community, volunteer & sporting groups, businesses & parents of children from local schools taking part. Died in England.

The death occurred on Saturday 31st December of Maureen Rowland nee Browne St Albans London  formerly of Erris St and St Marys Park Crossmolina. Burial took place in St Albans. Maureen  was pre deceased by her son Peter and is survived by her husband John formerly of Castlehill, brother of the late Mick, daughters Geraldine and Sharon, Sons John and Kevin, son – in – law, daughters – in – law, grandchildren, nephews, nieces, relations, friends and neighbours. May she rest in peace.


Kilmurray Card Results.

Pioneer Dance.

Mid-Killala Regional Pioneer Dinner Dance will be held in Hiney's Upper Deck on Friday 10th of February. Music by Michael S Togher. Any person who would like to get their gold or silver pins on the night can do so, by ordering a week before hand. Badminton News

Crossmolina Badminton club players had a great outing in the Mayo County U11 and U15 Championships in Ballina recently. Zara Moyles and Ronan Connor were runner-up in the U11C Division. Well done to all the other players who did so well

The Late Mary Connor

The death occurred peacefully at her residence on Sunday 22nd January of Mary Connor Fotish Crossmolina. Her remains were removed to St Tiernans Church on Tuesday evening with burial on Wednesday in Crossmolina Cemetery after requiem mass. Mary is survived by her sister Annie Redditch England, niece Maureen Dungannon  Co Tyrone, grandnephew, relations and friends. May she rest in peace


Active Age Over 55’s.

Walking and aerobics for both Women and Men continues each Tuesday in Crossmolina GAA Centre at 12noon. New members always welcome


Engine and Tractor club Dance

The Annual Mayo North Old Engine and Tractor Club Dinner Dance is on in Hiney’s Upper Deck on Saturday 11th February. There will be music, dancing, spot prizes and a raffle. Meal served at 8 – 30. Call or text 087.6709734

Tyrone Guthrie Award

Congratulation to scriptwriter Jennifer Davidson Cabragh House Castlehill who is the recipient of the inaugural Film Mayo Tyrone Guthrie Bursary award. The Bursary was open to filmmakers born in Mayo to enable them to spend two weeks at the Tyrone Guthrie Centre at Annaghmakerring Co Monaghan. Jennifer is a regular writer for RTE’s Drama series Fair City
