Patricia O’Donnell RIP

The death occurred on Monday 20th January of Patricia O’Donnell nee Naughton Porturlin Shore Ballina and late of Coolnabinna, Keenagh. Her remains reposed at Leonard’s Funeral home Laherdane on Friday evening. Requiem mass on Saturday on in Church of the Holy Souls, Keenagh and Burial afterwards in Kilmurry Cemetery. Patricia, beloved wife of Tony, sister of Kathleen, Peter, Geraldine and Jackie. Deeply mourned by her loving family, aunts, brothers – in - law, sisters – in - law, nieces, nephews, relatives, friends and neighbours. May she rest in peace

Mindspace Outreach service in Ballina FRC

Mindspace Mayo offers a support service to young people (15-25yrs) presenting with anything from common concerns (e.g. dealing with break-up, exam stress, bullying) to young people with emerging mental health difficulties such as mild depression and anxiety.  The outreach service will run one day a week (Monday) and is based in the Ballina Family Resource Centre. Doing a Clear Out – Clothes Recycling

If you are clearing out your home please drop the clothes, shoes, bags etc into the Ballina Family Resource Centre, Abbey Street, Ardnaree. We are doing a Cash for Clobber as a Fundraiser for the Centre, your support would be greatly appreciated.  If you need bags we have some in the centre, just drop in and collect them. Dance Memory Club for people living with dementia and their carers - chat, dance, sing, observe (all welcome)

Crossmolina Day Centre in association with Community Action on Dementia in Mayo are holding an information and expression of interest meeting on Thursday, 6th February 2020 at 8.00pm in the Civic Centre, Crossmolina. This is a dementia specific light touch service, meaning the person with dementia will attend this social club with a plus one (spouse, friend, paid carer etc.)

Families, carers or anyone interested in finding out more please attend. 

The club will require the support from the community from Volunteers - full training and support will be provided to anyone willing to support this new service.

The Annual General Meeting of Kilmurry Sport and Social Centre will take place this Tuesday at 9pm. The Centre provides facilities for all ages of people from Crossmolina parish and surrounding areas. Please show your interest and support by attending this AGM.

The late Mary Doyle

The death occurred peacefully on Wednesday 22nd February of Mary Doyle Erris St Crossmolina. Her remains reposed at Hineys Funeral Home on Friday evening with removal to St Tiernans Church. Requiem Mass on Saturday with burial afterwards in Crossmolina Cemetery. Mary is survived by her loving nieces, Anna-Marie, Eileen, Nora, Anne and Olivia, nephews, Tommy, Joseph, John and Kieran, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, friends and neighbours. May she rest in Peace

Fitness for Ladies and Men

Ladies and men's Active 55's Programme will recommence Tuesday 14th January in Deel-Rovers GAA Hall 11:45am-12:45pm €7.00 per session. Classes consists of cardiovascular fitness, muscle endurance, weight bearing, Balance, joint motility, flexibility, relaxation. The death occurred suddenly and peacefully on Sunday 4th January at his residence of Christopher Walsh Lena Keenagh. His remains reposed at his residence. Requiem mass on Tuesday in The Church of the Holy Souls, Keenagh with burial afterwards in Kilmurray Cemetery. Christopher is survived by his brothers Eamon Manchester, Padraic and Sean Lena Keenagh, sisters Kathleen Hassett and Maureen Granaghan Birmingham brothers – in- law, sisters – in – law, nieces, nephews, relations, friends and neighbours. Kieran’s Good Deed.

Congratulation and well done to Kieran O’Brien Knockleggan Crossmolina and friends who Raised over €70,000 to supply over 272,000 litres of drinking water 300,000 litres of stock water and 46 tonnes of Animal feed to stricken people and farmers in Australia as the devastating bush fires continue to burn. Your friends and neighbours over her in Crossmolina are very proud of you all for your generosity

Died in Tubbercurry 

The death occurred peacefully on Saturday 21st December in his 94th Year of Joseph (Joe) Gordan Carrowreagh Cooper Tubbercurry co Sligo and formerly of Tubbermore Crossmolina. His remains reposed at his home on Sunday evening Funeral Mass on Monday in St Patricks church Moylough Funeral afterwards to Rhue Cemetery. Joseph is survived by his wife Evelyn of 65 years his family Denis (Manchester), Maria (Dublin) and Dermot, daughters -in-law Elizabeth and Margaret, son-in-law Niall Scolard, grandchildren Shannon, Shaun, Caoimhe, Orla, Aisling, Ronan, Katie, Patrick, Michael and Ailish, great-grandchildren Lachlan, Éabha and Erin, sister Eleanor Cawley, brother-in-law Brendan Cawley (Crossmolina), sisters-in-law Mary Flannery USA, Mary Stravers nee McCoy USA. nephews, nieces, relatives, neighbours and friends. May he rest in peace

The death occurred peacefully at the Mater Hospital Dublin on Monday 23rd of December of John Gill 9 Sea Road Villas, First Sea Road, Strandhill Rd, Sligo and formerly of 123 Garavogue Villas, Sligo Town, Sligo. His remains reposed at Foley and McGowan Funeral Home, Market Yard, Sligo on Thursday evening with to St Anne’s Church with burial afterwards in Crossmolina Cemetery. John predecease by his father Sean. Beloved son of Christina and dear brother of Sheila Barrett (Crossmolina), Martin (Sligo), Mary (Sligo) and Breda (Sligo). Sadly missed by his loving mother, brother, sisters, in-laws, nieces Chantel, Rachel and Natasha, nephews Patrick, Daniel and Seán, aunts, cousins, relatives and friends. May he rest in peace.
