Loftus , would like to thank all those who attended my retirement function on Friday 15th September .My sincere gratitude to all the Richmond NS and Kilmurry community- Board of Management, Staff , Parents and Pupils both past and present , Soccer Club and Community Games - for organising the function and for their very thoughtful gifts and cards . I wish to also thank all those who couldn't attend but sent their good wishes .It was very special to receive a poem penned by a past pupil, Liam Cawley, and a beautiful cake baked by another past pupil, Siobhan Donnelly. Crossmolina Community Festival would like to thank all for making Festival 2017 a success, from sponsors, stewards through to everyone that attended the festival events and we would like to invite you to Hiney's next Friday night, 29th, 9pm - music by Eunice Moran. There will be plenty of Halloween Celebrations in Crossmolina this year as we team up with the North Mayo Heritage Centre, Enniscoe to organise lots of brand new events from Oct. 28th - 31st for children, teenagers and adults.
"The Halloween "Haunted Hat" Festival wants to make an appeal to anyone that if they have any old ladies or gents hats that they no longer require could they drop them into the Tourist Office (Enterprise Centre) on Wed., Thurs, or Fri. morning.

Crossmolina Basketball Club (Lough Conn Lakers) will resume training for U-12 boys (Friday, September 29th at 4pm) and U-14 boys (Friday, September 29th at 5pm) in Crossmolina Deel Rovers hall. The Crossmolina Day Centre is back after the Summer break. It will be held on Tuesday 19th September from 2pm to 4pm in the Social Services. This month we will be holding a Bingo hour with spot prizes sponsored from local businesses. Light refreshments served. There is a charge of €5 per person.
Died in Leeds.
The death occurred peacefully after a short illness recently of Carmel Nicholson nee Gallagher daughter of the late Tony Gallagher Shanvolahan and Kathleen Jordan Enniscoe. She is survived by her loving mother Kathleen daughters Jennifer and Emily, son Thomas, grandchildren sister Teresa, brother John all living in Leeds, also her aunt Nancy Horan Belmullet formerly of Moygownagh, uncle Pakie Gallagher Corvoderra Dooleeg and a very large circle of family and cousins. Funeral mass tomorrow Tuesday 19th September at 11am in St Anthony’s RC Church Leeds. May she rest in peace.

The course will take place over 2 nights in the Enterprise Centre from 7pm to 9pm on 20th and 27th September. This course is for parents of young children and teenagers and will cover topics such as the risks children take online, harmful content online, examining internet history. sharing and sexting. how to deal with cyber bullying, setting parental controls and activating safe search. Computer Training for Farming Family’s.
Computer Courses will be held in the Enterprise Centre in Crossmolina commencing Wednesday 13th September from 11am to 1pm. The course will run for 4 weeks. This course is aimed at complete beginners to give them the confidence, motivation and skills to take their first steps online and provide training in basic internet skills, browsing the Dept of Agriculture Website and communication tools. Have you got very basic skills you want to refresh? Crossmolina Community Council are running classes for older learners (aged 55+) who have little or no experience with using the Internet and who are apprehensive of technology. The Late John Waters.
The death occurred peacefully on Tuesday 5th September of John Waters Killeen, Castlehill, Ballina. His remains reposed at Hiney’s Funeral home on Wednesday evening with removal to St Tiernans Church. Requiem mass on Thursday with burial afterwards in Kilmurray Cemetery. John is survived by his sister Sr. Bernadette, Mary Commons, brother-in-law Jim, nieces Bernie and Dolores, nephews Michael, James and John, relatives, friends and neighbours. John was on the first Crossmolina Agriculture committee in 1955, president in 2004, IFA member, active member the committee who set up the Ballina cattle Mart, Life long member of Crossmolina Pioneers. It was Testimony of the high regard their was for John with turnout their was for the Guard of honour from the Show committee, Farming section and the Pioneers. May he rest in peace.

McHale/Rover U16 team advances to the final of the County Championship with a 5 – 14 to 2 – 11 win over Swinford in Ardagh on Wednesday last leading by a point at the break 2 – 5 to 1 – 7 after playing against a slight breeze the goals coming from Dara Moore and Emily Murray. McHale/Rovers were on top throughout the final thirty minuets with goals from Sinead Walsh Lisa Lavelle and Dara Moore in a ten minuets spell midway through the half.
