The Annual Crossmolina Deel-Rovers Club awards were presented at the club social in The Thatch Bar on Tuesday night last with the following the recipients P.J.Loftus Hall of Fame, Damien Lavin Club man Appreciation Award, Carmel Prior Club Lady Appreciation award Peadar Gardiner Senior Footballer of the year, David Howley Junior player of the year and Darragh McCormack U21 player of the year.
The death occurred peacefully on Thursday 22nd December in her 89th year at the Blackrock Nursing Home Foxford of Noreen Loftus nee Lavin The Old Post Office Crossmolina and formerly of Kiltmagh. Her remains reposed at Hiney’s Funeral Home on Thursday evening with removal to St Tiernans church with burial on Friday in Crossmolina Cemetery after requiem Mass Noreen was pre-deceased by her husband Paddy is survived by her family, many friends and very good neighbours. May she rest in peace.

2 Defibulators will be installed shortly in Crossmolina Town.
Training in Defibulator use will be provided by Mayo County Council.
There will be a small charge of €20 each to cover the cost of training.
The training will be provided either in 2 by 2 hour or 1 by 4 hour session, daytime or night time. Training will commence within the next few weeks. To book a place for training and indicate your preferred training option please contact The Enterprise office at 096 30935 & leave a message on the answer machine.
Remember lives have been saved by the use of Defibulators.
Under the Community Services programme, Crossmolina Community Development provide a range of Services for Seniors within the Community. We are currently drawing up the Winter work programme.
The range of services provided is as follows:
Painting outside and inside of houses belonging to residents.
Maintaining gardens for elderly-Lawns, hedges, tree cutting etc.
