There was no winner of the Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot on Saturday night 29th September. The numbers drawn were 3 – 5 – 20 – 32 four punters matched three numbers Hannah Webb Abbeytown, Crossmolina, Peggy McKinley Abbeytown Crossmolina. Crossmolina were comprehensive defeated by a much stronger Castlebar Mitchell’s side in this league tie at Tiernans Park on Sunday week after leading by 2-8 to 1-3 a David O’Malley opening goal was as good as it got for the home side in the opening half Nigal Caden tacked on a 1-2  the goal coming in the 43rd minuet and Thomas McNulty a point to give the score board a more respectable look after a brace of goals from Diarmuid O’Malley and Shane Irwin  to leave the final score 4-14 to 2-6 Crossmolina team and scorers

U15 League.

Crossmolina and Balla played out an exciting draw 2-11 to 4-5 in the county U15 League at Tiernans Park on Sunday week. The hosts lead at the break 1-7 to 1-3 Diarmuid Walsh notching 1-3 Niall Coggins three points and Eoin Murphy one Sean Dempsey notched a few points and Aaron Dunleavy the goal in 25th minuet. Balla came more into the game after the break with a goal but a like score from Eoin Murphy the home side in front leading by four points entering the final minuets Balla’s Anusha Muallaney raced through the heart of the defence reduced the lead to a point with a smashing goal and in injury time Noah Thornton pointed to tie the score after a entertaining hours football Crossmolina team and scorers

North Mayo Minor Final.

This North Mayo Minor B Championship Final at Kilfine saw the Combination of Ardmoy/McHales Ardagh/ Moygownagh/Laherdane emerge five point winner after a hard fought contest that saw Crossmolina start the better side after Shane Finnerty  opened the scoring in the 4th minuet from play. After couple of gilt edged goal scoring chances were missed Tommy Loftus raced through the winners defence to plant the ball in the net in the 9th minute. This was cancelled out four minuets later when Lorcan Finnerty raised a green flag for Ardmoy McHales Lorcan Loftus replied with a point Darragh Walsh scored the next two points the second one which was deflected over the bar by John Tolan preventing a certain goal Crossmolina pressed on with points from Edward Gough and two long range ones from Colm Hegarty. Ardmoy/McHales finished the half the stronger with two points from Shane Finnerty to leave the half time score 1-5 to 1-4 in favour of the winners who would have the assistance of a stiff breeze in the second half. Edward Gough and Lee Traynor swopped points before Lee Traynor struck for vital goal in the 35th minuet Edward Gough pointed another free Ardmoy/McHales  replied with four unanswered points from Keith O’Malley and three from Shane Finnerty to extend the lead to seven points Edward Gough and Conor Caden grabbed points each but  Darragh Walsh drove over two further points before Edward Gough drove home his sides second goal and Alan Gallagher finished off the scoring with a point to leave Ardmoy/McHales deserving winners 2-13 to 2-8 and first holders of the Late Michael Timlin Memorial Trophy  who was North board Treasurer for many years

Please don't let the No Name Club go! We have a secretary, a chairman and funds. All that's needed for one Monday night (2 hrs) a month is some Youth Leaders.
