There was no winner of Crossmolina Deel-Rovers GAA Club Lotto Jackpot 7th August. The numbers drawn were 13 – 16 – 29 – 34. No punter matched three numbers and three tickets were drawn John and Lorna Mulkearns Dublin, Fiona Hopkins Ballina, Jane Gill Mullenmore Crossmolina. They win €50 each. U15 A League Semi-final 

Crossmolina 7 – 8 Moy Davitts 2 – 12

They say goals wins matches and this was certainly the case in this County U15 League Semi Final at Robert McCallion Park Swinford on Tuesday last. Adam Mills fired home the first goal after three minutes Josh Moyles grabbed the Deel-Siders second after thirteen minuets in between Conor Ryder Adam Conlon Jamie Clarke tacked on five points just before the water break Aaron Coggins pointed. After the break Adam Conlon tied score with two points and Conor Ryder gave Moy Davitts the lead which was short lived when Oisin Deane tacked on a goal and a point. The east Mayo side regained the lead from a Conor Ryder penalty after a brilliant save from Patrick O’Malley which fell kindly in his follow up drive to net. James O’Boyle scored his sides fourth goal and Oisin Deane and Kobe McDonald tacked on points before break to leave the half time score 4 – 4 to 1 – 8 Jamie Clarke and Adam Mills exchanged points before Kyle Bodes was lurking in the goal mouth after another Brilliant Patrick O’Malley save to fist to the net Dylan Flynn and Josh Moyles quickly pointed and Jamie Clarke replied with a point before a three goal barrage from Oisin Deane and two from Kobe McDonald one a penalty after a defender picked the ball off the ground in the square. After the water break there was only two more points score Sean Reid for Moy Davitts Luke Maloney. There were many outstanding displays on both sides but both goalkeeper made a number of great saves and could not be faulted for the shots beat them

Crossmolina B team came up short in this Division 5B opening round league tie in Tom Langan Park on Sunday week. The hosts were in control throughout lead at the break 0 – 5 to 0 - 3 with Fergal Forde Tom Tomas Michael Forde to fore knocking over points a late goal from Keelan Hegarty reduced the lead to the minimum. Crossmolina had their chances poor shot selection was their down fall in the end. Crossmolina 6 – 12 Parke/Keelogues/Crimlin 6 – 12

This was a game of many twist and turns with scores coming so fast the sides were level at the first water break. The visitors raced into the lead with points Sean Sweeney and two from Cian McHale before Diarmuid Coggins rattled the net Simran Singh and Diarmuid Walsh traded points. After the break Goals from Niall Coggins and Jonathan Murtagh and two points from Diarmuid Walsh. Which  the West Mayo boys replied through Sean Sweeney grabbing  1 – 2 and Conor Sweeny and Dominic Horkan adding points to leave the half time score 3 – 3 to 1 – 8  the Deel-Siders advantage. Crossmolina advanced to the Semi-final of the County League after a merited over Breaffy at Tiernans Park on Tuesday evening last. It was closely contested up half time when the score stood at 0 – 10 to 1 – 6 in favour of Crossmolina with a string of points from Kobe McDonald Adam Mills Oisin Deane Shane Lynn and Luke Maloney.  Jack Canny was most dangerous Breaffy forward with four points Nathan McManamon grabbed the goal Nathan Ryan and Yousif Coghill added points. Crossmolina dominated the third quarter with a four goal burst from Kobe McDonald Adam Mills James O’Boyle and Luke Maloney further goals after the water break from Dylan Flynn and Oisin Deane saw the hosts sail into a commanding lead with Jack Canny and Jude Lavin keeping the Breaffy scoreboard ticking over. The Score at the end does not give a clear reflection of the game as a contest up to third quarter

Ballina secured the early bragging right with swift forward play from Conor Gorman Patrick Carr with a brace of points which were cancelled out by  Adam Mills with three points  a Conor Gorman Goal and a Matthew Leonard point saw the visitors lead at the water break. James O’Boyle and Kobe McDonald fired over points each and Adam Mills rowed in with 1 – 1. Ballina came back with Two points from Ben Thornton and one from Conor Gorman tied the score. Conor Gorman converted a penalty just before the half time break to leave the score 2 – 6 to 1 – 6. Crossmolina dominated the scoring after the break  with points from Adam Mills two  Oisin Dean and James O’Boyle one each in between Kobe McDonald scored a goal and just  before water break James O’Boyle raised a green Flag Patrick Carr and Conor Jordan replied with points each to leave the score 3 – 10 to 2 – 8 After this The Deel-Siders Oisin Deane scored two goals and Dylan Flynn one  Kobe McDonald and Adam Mills  tacked on points and  Ballina Niall Peoples pointed to leave Crossmolina convincing winners in the end after Ballina had to play second half with fourteen players after having player second yellow carded

Crossmolina 0 – 9 Westport 1 – 5 

Crossmolina U13 boys over came a stiff challenge  from Westport in this county League tie at Tiernans Park on Thursday  evening last after being a goal and a point down after a couple of minutes with Ethan Reilly  replying with a point and that is the way it stayed up the water break. Three Ethan Reilly points and one from Eunan Carolan gave the host a one point advantage at the half time break. Three Westport points which were cancelled out with points from Ethan Reilly and James Gardiner. Still all square at the second water break further points from Ethan Reilly and Peadar Fergus gave the Deel-Siders a two points lead which was reduced to one when the visitors were awarded dubious point. This was a great contest with defenders on both sides putting sterling displays and great scores despite the thigh marking and all that is good about the game were on display from two well coached sides.

Crossmolina 5 – 11 Knockmore 3 – 12 

Crossmolina continued their good form in County U15 League at Tiernans Park on Tuesday last with a five points win over Knockmore in absorbing Contest played in ideal conditions. Crossmolina lead at the first water break 2 – 3 to 1 – 2 with goals from Josh Moyles and Adam Mills and also points each from the same players. Knockmore replied through Darragh Staunton with two points and a goal from Adrian Sotoparra with Dylan Flynn adding a point. Crossmolina dominated after the water break with goals from Ronan Walsh and Oisin Deane and points from Adam Mills two and one each from Ronan Walsh and Kobe McDonald. Darragh Staunton and Andres Sotoparra tacked on points for the visitors to leave the half time score 4 – 7 to 1 – 5. Knockmore had the better of the third quarter with three points from Darragh Staunton a goal from Adrian Sotoparra and further points from Andreas Sotoparra and Brian Walsh. Josh Moyles replied with two points and Oisin Deane one. This was the second week in succession that Crossmolina came from behind to force a draw after trailing by three points at the half time break 0 – 10 to 1 – 4 the West Mayo side reeled off impressive string scores from Ronan Carolan Ronan Reilly Simran Singh and Ray Neary. Fionan Duffy raised four white flags and Nigal Caden slotted home the goal past the helpless Conor McDonnell. After the break Jack Doocey and Ronan Carolan increased their sides advantage but Fionan Duffy with two points and one from Cathal Carolan kept the Deel-Siders score board ticking over. After the water break it was nip and tuck with Simran Singh and Ronan Carolan pointing and Tom Cafferty Fionan Duffy and a great solo effort from Tommy Walsh to tie the score after a well contested league tie that resembles more like a Championship at times

Ballina came back after the water break grabbing 2 -3 with Aaron Donnellan raising two green Flags for the Deel -Siders to leave just a point separating the sides at the break. Ethan Reilly with three points and goal from Farnan Munnelly in between those scores Ballina notched two goals and a point to tie the score at the water break. New Junior Championship 

Burrishoole were much too strong and physical for a very young Crossmolina side who were short a number of regulars in the County Junior tie at Newport on Sunday week. The black carding of Stephen O’Malley which looked very harsh early on because their was a numbers of defenders in front of the attacking player and Burrishoole went on to scored three goals in those ten minutes and ran out easy winners final score 5 – 10 to 1 – 8 . Crossmolina overcame a resilient Kiltmagh team in the Michael Walsh cup game at Gilmartin Park on Saturday evening after the host dominated the opening quarter with a string of points from Killian Finn Conor Malee Ryan Carroll Ronan Malee and two from Dylan Roche with the visitors only rely was a pointed free from Fionan Duffy. After the water break Crossmolina scored five points from Kevin Mulhern Nigal Caden Gerard Haran and two from Fionan Duffy with Conor Malee raising a white flag for the hosts to leave the half time score 0 – 7 to 0 – 6 Fionan Duffy Gerard Haran Cathal Carolan tacked on points for the Deel-Siders in between Conor Malee Ronan Malee Mattie Cummins and Donavan Cosgrove kept the score board ticking over just before the water break Dean Loftus made a telling run through the heart of the Kiltmagh defence before he was up ended in the square and Fioan Duffy made no mistake from the penalty to put his side in to a one point lead 1 – 9 to 0 – 11 Brian Gallagher tied the score when play resumed Gerard Haran and Fionan Duffy pointed and Killian Finn quickly  restored  his side advantage when the blasted the ball to the net Conor Malee and Dean Loftus traded points before Fionan Duffy struck over long range free to tie the score. Crossmolina were always in control of this County U17 League tie in Glenamoy on Friday evening racking up 3 – 4 in the opening quarter with two goals from Dara Syron one from a penalty and another from Eoin Murphy and points from Jack Loftus Eoin O’Boyle Danny McDonald and James Maheady Dara McAndrew replied with two points after the water break Cill Chomain held the upper hand with Dara McAndrew scoring 1 – 1 and Liam Maloney a point. Laherdane 1 – 17 Crossmolina 2 – 12 

This Sweeny Cup played in Bofeenaun in ideal conditions on Saturday week.  After close opening quarter Laherdane held a one point advantage with three points from Adrian Leonard and one each from Mickie Murphy Jack McHale and James Maughan in between Diarmuid Walsh and Gerard Haran replied with two points each and Dean Loftus one from open play after the water break Adrian Leonard Cathal Finnerty Darragh Walsh Mickie Murphy each pointed and Cormac Reilly tacked on two points. Crossmolina only reply was a David Howley point to leave the half time score 0 – 12 to     0 – 6. Laherdane still held the upper hand after the break with Gary Naughton Adrian Leonard pointing and Jack McHale grabbing 1 – 2 Gerard Haran Diarmuid Walsh pointed for the visitor and Kevin Mulhern added a goal and a point. Bonniconlon dominated the opening the first quarter at home to Crossmolina in this Sweeney cup with a string of points from Ciallian Foody Joanathan Lavelle Richard McKenzie Wesley Loftus and Sean Neary. Fionan Duffy replied with two points to leave the score 0 – 7 to 0 – 2 Diarmuid Walsh tacked on two points and Fionan Duffy one. Niall Greavy and Sean Neary made the half time score 0 – 9 to 0 – 5 Jonathan Lavelle and Niall Greavy tacked on points which Fionan Duffy reduced lead with three points and Kevin Mulhern also pointed two goals from Mark Conlon and Sean Neary in the final quarter secured their sides dominance despite Fionan Duffy five points Aodhan Harrington and Sean Neary also tacked on points for a fully deserving Bonniconlon win.  Crossmolina team and scorers J. Crossmolina 2 – 12 Balla 1 – 9 

Darragh Gill opened the scoring for the hosts after three minutes. Balla were quickly into stride Colm Connor cancelled this score and Shane Foy pounced on a long delivery in to the goal mouth to fist to the net. Crossmolina recovered with points from David Howley and Gerard Haran two. Shane Conway pointed before the water break to leave the score 1 – 2 to 0 – 4 Balla dominated after the break and scored six points from Shane Foy two and one each from Enda McGahon Shane Conway Cian Mannion and Fergal O’Neill John Garrett pointed in between those scores to leave the half time score 1 – 8 to 0 – 5 Crossmolina dominated the third quarter with J.P. Mulhern and Gerard Haran pointing and Nigal Caden grabbing a goal and two points to tie the score at the second water break after Balla  just managed one point in this period to leave the sides all square 1 – 9 each Derek Hegarty drove over an inspirational point after a great 60m run Nigal Caden scored another goal and point and Gerard Haran pointed a free to give his side a six points winning margin

Crossmolina and Louisburgh served up an exciting County U13 League contest at Tiernans Park on Thursday last the visitors opened the scoring with a point.  Aaron Keane and Aaron Donnellan raised green flags and Ethan Reilly drover over three points just before the half time break Michael Ball pulled a goal back. It got better the Louisburgh Boys after the break and Tiernan Needham and Dylan O’Toole breached the Deel-Siders defence with goals each Crossmolina recovered with points from Ethan Reilly and Aaron Keane to leave the score 3 – 4 to 2 – 5 at the water break Ethan Reilly kicked over four points and Peadar Fergus added another.
